Frequently Asked Questions


Q: What schools are participating in the New England—China Scholarship Program?
A: See the “Find a Beijing Institution” portion of this website for a list of the 49 participating colleges and universities.
 
Q: What do the scholarships cover?
A: Scholarships will cover tuition and fees. Students are responsible for their own room, board and travel costs.

Q: Will I need to know Mandarin Chinese?
A: While it is recommended that students have at least a basic understanding of Mandarin Chinese, students can chose from academic programs offered in English or Chinese.

Q: Can I participate in the scholarship program for more than one year?
A: Individual scholarships are for up to one year, renewable upon review and application.

Q: When should I apply?
A: Interested candidates should apply as soon as possible to one or more of the participating institutions. Review of candidate applications will be done by NEBHE on an ongoing basis.
