Gig.U: The University Community Next Generation Innovation Project

The New England Board of Higher Education has partnered with Gig.U, the University Community Next Generation Innovation Project, to accelerate the deployment of ultra high-speed networks, particularly in New England universities and their surrounding communities.

Gig.U seeks to accelerate the deployment of ultra high-speed networks to leading U.S. universities and their surrounding communities.  Improvements to these networks will drive economic growth and stimulate a new generation of innovations and network applications to address critical needs, including health care and education.

We are supplying the PowerPoint presentation slides (in PDF format) and the audio transcription from the webinar held by NEBHE and Gig.U on August 28, 2011 for New England higher education leaders.
