Budget Appropriations

The University of Massachusetts was allocated $497,966,000 in FY09. However in FY10 the University had a 1.7% decrease in their allocation. This was followed by an increase of 8.5% in FY11 to $446,991,000.


The State Colleges had a similar trend. In FY09 they were allocated $222,565,000 which was decreased by 1.6% in FY10 only to increase by 7.7% in FY11 to $200,280,000.


The same was true for the Community Colleges in Massachusetts. FY09 saw an allocation of $244,885,000 but a decrease of 1.6% in FY10.  This was followed by an increase of 7.7% to have $220,418,000 allocated in FY11.
