The Ford Foundation awarded Fairfield University a two-year $200,000 grant to lead a national study of undocumented immigrant students of Jesuit universities.

Research at the university's Center of Faith and Public Life will seek to understand the connections between American Jesuit universities and undocumented students. The study will consider the best strategies to support and challenge undocumented students throughout their college careers, and the issues undocumented students face after graduation.

Fairfield will lead the project, collaborating with Santa Clara University in California and Loyola University Chicago.
