Endicott College was awarded a $400,000 grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation of Michigan to enhance a program that offers young, single parents the opportunity to pursue a college degree while living in designated on-campus housing with their children.

In 1992, Endicott President Richard E. Wylie started a program for young, single parents, offering academic and personal services to help earn degrees even while raising a child and to aid the growing number of children born to unmarried mothers, who are more likely to live in poverty than children of married parents.

The Kellogg Foundation grant creates a partnership between Endicott and Eastern Michigan University (EMU) in Ypsilanti, Mich to start national replication of the Keys to Degrees program.
