Clark joins the University of Maine System in New England and 49 institutions nationwide that cover more than 100 campuses with total insured values exceeding $78.9 billion.

Established in 1994 by the Midwestern Higher Education Compact, the MPP saved participating members approximately $8.8 million in FY2010. The program costs remain below industry averages due to the program's volume, asset-protection strategies and services tailored to college and universities.

From academic resources to insurance, NEBHE has been finding economies of scale for more than a half-century.

NEBHE recently began offering New England campuses a comprehensive property insurance program  tailored specifically to higher education at costs that have consistently been below industry trends.

Established in 1994 by the Midwestern Higher Education Compact, this Master Property Program is based on a no-brainer: use your numbers to drive down prices and get a better deal.

Its progenitor at NEBHE was Nelinet, a cooperative of New England libraries (academic, public and specialized) and other cultural organizations formed in 1966 as a program of NEBHE, which  spun off in 1979.

Today, merged with Lyrasis, the former Nelinet is a regional provider for services such as the Online Computer Library Center and the New England Regional Depository.

NEBHE's flagship program, Tuition Break (the Regional Student Program) is also based on economies of scale. It allows New England states to share costs of many academic programs not offered in neighboring states in the region.
