Under the Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2008, Congress mandated that higher education institutions offer the net price calculators (NPCs) to allow prospective students and families to estimate  personal out-of-pocket expenses at a particular institution.

Sarah Parrott, senior consultant at Maguire Associates, and John E. Beacon, a vice president at Indiana State University, will explore the NPC’s role in student recruitment and prospect generation as well as in changing the landscape of higher education, especially within enrollment management.
