Trends & Indicators: International Enrollment

Updated July 2012

New England colleges and universities enrolled nearly 59,000 foreign students in 2011—more than three times as many as they did in 1980, according to data from the New York City-based Institute of International Education.

New England campuses attract 8.1% of all foreign students who enrolled in the United States.
