Vt. Gov. Shumlin to Address Green Mountain College Grads … and More Commencement News

Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin will deliver the commencement address at Green Mountain College’s 174th graduation ceremony on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m. on the college’s Griswold Library lawn.

Boston TV  journalist  Liz Walker will deliver the commencement address at Regis College on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m. in the Tower Gardens.

Walmart Foundation President Margaret A. McKenna will deliver the commencement address at Mount Ida College on Friday, May 20, at 11 a.m. at the college in Newton, Mass.

David Gergen, best-selling author and adviser to four presidents, will deliver the commencement address to approximately 1,000 Bentley University undergraduate students on Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m. on the university’s south campus. Entrepreneur Christopher Lynch,  currently vp of Vertica Systems, a Hewlett Packard company, will deliver the keynote to approximately 400 graduates of the McCallum Graduate School of Business at the Dana Center on the south campus at 3 p.m.

New York Times columnist David Brooks will be deliver the address at the 60th commencement of Brandeis University on Sunday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center on the Brandeis campus.

Arno Rafael Minkkinen, a photographer known for his black and white abstract pieces which juxtapose bodies and landscapes in surprising ways, will deliver the 2011 commencement address for the New Hampshire Institute of Art on Sunday, May 22, at 2 p.m. at the Palace Theatre in downtown Manchester.

Okwui Enwezor, a highly respected Nigerian-born educator, curator and art historian, will deliver the commencement address to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, on Sunday, May 22, at 6 pm in the Ruth and Carl J. Shapiro Family Courtyard at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood will address the Boston College Class of 2011 at the college’s 135th commencement exercises on Monday, May 23, at 10 a.m. in Alumni Stadium.
