Rhode Island College President Nancy Carriuolo announced she will step down in May. Carriuolo has written NEJHE articles on the new role of college librarians as well as collaboration among  states and between education and liberal arts.

Massachusetts College of Art and Design named music educator David P. Nelson, currently provost of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, to be MassArt’s 12th president.

Brandeis University named former Middlebury College President Ronald Liebowitz to head the Waltham, Mass. institution, starting in July. Liebowitz will succeed interim Brandeis President Lisa Lynch.

Michael Decelle was named dean of the Manchester campus at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), succeeding interim leader J. Michael Hickey. A UNH alumnus, Decelle is president and CEO of CrossFiber, a venture-funded startup company in San Diego.
